The soul becomes dyed by the color of its thoughts.
Marcus Aurelius (121 – 180AD)
Lest anyone think that my mind is always shrouded in shadows, all soot and chalk and darkness, I share some of the splashes of color I find in an otherwise bleak and wintery world.
You can find some kind of beauty in almost anything but you sometimes have to search for it with a diligent heart. We can easily become a victim of our own melancholy simply by standing still and allowing it to happen.
